The Sarah E. Allison Foundation is a small private foundation established
in December 2000 for the purpose of promoting and supporting the continuing
development and formalization of the practical science of nursing based
on Dorothea E. Orem’s conceptualizations about nursing.
Small grants will be given to encourage and promote scholarly activities
and studies in nursing for the advancement of nursing knowledge and improvement
of nursing practice and nursing education based on Orem’s general
theory of nursing, the self-care deficit nursing theory (SCDNT),
and the associated foundational nursing sciences. |
